Kitchen Kingdom Spotlight: Kenji’s Curved Kitchen Reimagined

This Kitchen Kingdom project was created in collaboration with luxury real estate developer Kindle Martin for her client, Kenji Williams. Kenji had recently bought a home with great bones, but an outdated kitchen that lacked cohesion, warmth, and functionality. The curved layout presented a unique challenge, and our goal was to modernize the flow, enhance the finishes, and introduce a fresh, family-friendly palette without compromising the architectural integrity of the space.

We started with a comprehensive consultation to grasp Kenji’s goals, preferences, and lifestyle needs. From there, our team managed every visual detail with precision—no oversight necessary. We removed the outdated peninsula and introduced a centrally located waterfall-edge island for improved balance and circulation. The new cabinet design featured modern shaker-style profiles that extended to the ceiling, a two-tone color scheme with Repose Gray below and white above, and upgraded hardware in complementary shades of gold and silver.

To enhance the layout, the stove was repositioned and centered, flanked by cabinetry, while the refrigerator was moved to a former writing nook. A banquette with navy blue upholstery added charm and functionality, complemented by modern pendant lighting for visual warmth. Layered elements—like the mixed metals, bold blue accents, and high-end appliances—unified the space into a cohesive, elevated whole.

As with every Kitchen Kingdom project, Kenji and Kindle didn’t just receive photorealistic visualizations. We also provided a fully curated materials list, enabling Kindle to collaborate seamlessly with contractors and bring the design to life without confusion or guesswork. It’s a turnkey experience—designed for clarity, confidence, and flawless execution.
