Project Overview

KBB & Associates' visualization experience includes an early-stage commercial recreation project in which a proposed golf driving range needed to be transformed from a hand-drawn concept into a compelling visual presentation.

April Braxton approached our predecessor studio, 3D 4 Real, on behalf of her father, who envisioned developing a golf driving range but had limited documentation to communicate the concept. Without formal architectural drawings, detailed specifications, or an established material palette, the challenge was to translate an initial idea into a visual representation that could communicate the proposed facility to prospective investors and development stakeholders.

The project began with a detailed consultation to understand the development vision, intended layout, and overall experience of the proposed driving range. Working from the client's preliminary sketch, our team interpreted the spatial requirements and developed a conceptual 3D environment that illustrated how the facility could be organized and experienced.

The proposed visualization incorporated an expansive driving range with clearly defined distance markers, designated hitting areas, perimeter landscaping, and site lighting. A covered hitting structure provided a closer look at the golfer experience, including individual practice stations, seating, equipment storage, and views overlooking the range.

Our team produced two complementary exterior renderings designed to communicate different aspects of the development. The first presented an elevated, wide-angle perspective of the driving range, illustrating the overall layout, scale, and relationship between its key features. The second offered an experiential perspective from within the covered hitting area, helping viewers envision how golfers would interact with the proposed facility.

Together, these visualizations transformed an informal sketch into a more tangible development concept that could be shared during investment discussions. The imagery provided a clearer understanding of the proposed facility's appearance, spatial organization, and recreational experience without requiring stakeholders to interpret technical drawings or visualize the concept independently.

This project demonstrates KBB's ability to support developers and entrepreneurs during the earliest stages of project planning, when design information may be limited but clear visual communication remains essential.
