A Bedroom Oasis| 3D Renovation

This bedroom transformation was another highlight in our 3D renovation collaboration with luxury real estate developer Kindle Martin. The original space had great bones—expansive and filled with potential —but lacked the elevated comfort and cohesion that Kindle envisioned. She didn't have a firm design direction but gave us complete creative freedom with just a few key requests: she wanted to keep her existing bed, center it in front of the fireplace, and enhance the lighting for both function and ambiance.

As always, we began with a deep-dive consultation to clarify goals and identify functional priorities. One of the main challenges was the off-center ceiling fan, which disrupted the room's balance. Since the fireplace wall naturally anchored the layout, we re-centered the fan and replaced it with a flush-mount chandelier-style ceiling fan for an elevated, hotel-inspired look.

Instead of hanging pendant lights beside the bed, we introduced two modern wall sconces that flanked the headboard, perfectly complementing the design while maintaining a clean, unobstructed aesthetic. Kindle loved the update, noting how the thoughtful touches gave the room a chic, boutique hotel feel.
The original wood floors were updated with a warmer natural tone, and the walls were painted in calming Repose Gray with crisp Pure White trim. We curated mid-century modern furnishings in a rich cognac wood tone, including matching nightstands, a dresser, and a tall chest, to bring warmth and symmetry to the space.

Color and personality came through in the accessories—plush pillows, soft throws, and art that added vibrancy without overwhelming the room. The existing brick fireplace was modernized with a whitewash finish and a natural wood mantel, creating a rustic-modern mix that beautifully grounded the space.
To introduce architectural interest, we added a white wood slat accent wall stretching the entire back wall. At the far end of the room, we designed a cozy reading nook featuring a modern lounge chair, a floor lamp, and a bookshelf, offering a perfect moment of retreat. A large area rug beneath the bed tied the entire design together, softening the floor and completing the room's layered feel.
The result? A luxurious yet livable bedroom retreat that reflects the comfort, balance, and visual harmony of a high-end hotel suite, tailored to Kindle's lifestyle and aesthetic.
