Attic Retreat Phase 1: From Empty Attic to Tranquil Escape

This 3D virtual renovation was part of a two-phase project in collaboration with luxury real estate developer Kindle Martin, who approached us with a unique challenge: an underutilized attic with no defined layout, windows, or clear purpose. The goal was ambitious—to transform this blank canvas into a livable, light-filled retreat that would boost both lifestyle value and market appeal.

We started with an in-depth consultation to align our understanding of the functional requirements, aesthetic ambitions, and architectural constraints of the space. Following this, our team set to work transforming the attic into a fully functioning suite, featuring a bedroom, bathroom, and a cozy lounge area.

To address the insufficient natural light, we added strategically placed skylights, including dramatic balcony skylights that expanded the space visually while flooding it with daylight. The outcome? A serene, airy environment that felt anything but secondary.

As with all projects from KBB & Associates, this was more than just a visual concept. Kindle received a comprehensive package that included a detailed layout plan, material selections, and a ready-to-source specification list. Every decision made was intentional, and every finish was chosen with buildability in mind. Thanks to our integrated project management and quality assurance processes, no oversight was necessary.

The final photorealistic renderings not only impressed but also provided total clarity and confidence before construction began. This attic wasn't just transformed; it was elevated into a personal retreat designed to enhance both the home's value and the owner's daily life.
